Gabriela González

Dr. Gabriela A. González is a published author and the Founder and CEO of CihuaTEC Connect, a consulting firm dedicated to advancing innovative strategies and practices in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. In this role, she partners with organizations to strengthen impact, equity, and effectiveness across the STEM ecosystem. Previously, Dr. González served as Director of the STEM Education Research Office at Intel Corporation, where she led global efforts in STEM education research, policy, governance, enterprise-wide initiatives, and thought leadership. Over the course of her career, she has held senior leadership roles spanning corporate philanthropy, operations, academic partnerships, and technology development.
From 2018 to 2022, Dr. González chaired the National Science Foundation STEM Education Advisory Panel. She currently sits on the boards of Project Lead the Way and the National Girls Collaborative Project. In 2026, Dr. González was recognized by the Inner Circle for her contributions to advancing opportunities for girls in engineering. An active leader across professional, social, and cultural communities, she is committed to driving meaningful impact for underrepresented students and professionals in STEM around the globe.
Dr. González earned her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE ’92) from the University of Washington, a master’s degree in engineering and manufacturing management from Clarkson University, and a doctoral degree in human and social dimensions of science and technology from Arizona State University.
